Spring Ephemerals of Nerstrand State Park – Katie Gillispie

Learn about spring ephemerals, wildflowers that have a short window of bloom in the woodlands before the trees leaf out. Master Naturalist and Friends of Nerstrand State Park volunteer, Katie Gillispie is well known as an expert on the flowers and plants of Nerstrand State Park. She will lead us through the park to see what’s blooming. If we are fortunate, timing will be good to see the Dwarf Trout Lily in bloom! Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Meet at the Park Headquarters building. Spring ephemeral tours are always subject to the weather and how the spring season is unfolding. It is possible a date change will be necessary.

Carpooling from Emmaus Church in Northfield will be arranged.
