Prairie Moon – Great source for native seeds and their website has very helpful filter and search options.  Can select for Midwest region, Minnesota, then flowering season, soil and sun requirements and more.  Once you select an item, it shows the native and extended range and gives excellent information on germination and prep for germination (stratifying…)  Prairie Moon Nursery

Blazing Star Gardens – ordering is now open for 2022, can pick up at Souba GH in Owatonna or have delivered.  They also post the sales they will be attending.   Have some difficult to find or germinate native species.  Excellent quality plants.  They sell individual plants or ‘kits’ of preselected plants.  They sell out quickly so don’t wait too long!  Blazing Star Gardens

Blazing Star Gardens also provides some free native garden designs and information for success.  Free Pollinator Garden Designs — Blazing Star Gardens

Prairie Restoration.  They have plants, seeds, trees and shrubs.  In the past they’ve provided shipping to their Randolph site once during the spring.  I didn’t see that option at this time, but it may be added this spring.  Good site with a lot of information on native species within their catalog.  Prairie Restorations

Outback – trees and shrubs, plus vines and native plants.  Hastings, MN.  They still have the 2021 catalog posted but will likely update soon.  Great place to pick out and buy native shrubs and trees or other native plants.    Out Back Nursery: Native Plant Catalog & Terms

Our Prairie Partners sale will be on Saturday, May 20th, at Emmaus Church Parking lot, Northfield. Please let me or Nancy Schumacher know (I’ll pass your name off to her) if you are available to help with the sale this year. It’s always fun and educational!  A list of the plants we plan to have on sale is here.
